The client:
• A nationwide distribution company in the Warrington area is looking for a Credit Controller to join their team.
Finance responsibilities:
• Responsible for all aspects of credit control (trade and commercial)
• High volume telephone, letter and email chasing of debt
• Posting cash, BACS and cheque payments to the system
• Worked to strict targets daily regarding calls and debt retrieved
• Responsible for £1m ledger
• Responsible for setting up direct debits, new accounts and payment plans
• Carrying out invoicing and billing
• Created and manipulated Excel spreadsheets
• Developed effective relationships with large Blue Chip clients
• Regular liaison with other departments such as billings and accounts payable
• General administration including faxing, filing and photocopying
• Various ad-hoc duties as requested by Credit Manager
You will have:
• Strong previous credit control experience
• Be IT literate with excellent PC skills in Microsoft Excel
• The ability to work under your initiative and also as part of a team
• A self motivated and professional attitude
