Sustainable Consumption Institute

The Place:
The Sustainable Consumption Institute (SCI) is a centre of excellence researching issues in the design of sustainable energy and environmental policy. The SCI has been set up against the background of the global threat from climate change and the economic benefits of early action.
The Role:
The post holder will help set and implement the agenda on knowledge hubs with the Director of the SCI. This person will lead on the design, development and introduction of select 'knowledge hubs' that provide a recognised source for creating a dialogue and sharing the latest research and information on sustainable development. Key tasks include developing specialized high-impact web sites on important environmental and energy issues, and taking the lead on high-level conferences related to the knowledge hub.
The Personal Skills and Attributes:
The successful candidate must hold at least a bachelors degree, preferably specialising in environment or economics. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong commitment to sustainability and aims of job. The ability to be proactive and forward thinking in presenting options and solutions to problems is also essential.
