Job Description
My client, a leading national manufacturing company in Greater Manchester is currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant.
You will have to ensure that periodic accounts for designated areas of central costs are produced on a timely and accurate basis and that major variations against budget, forecast and last year can be explained. You will also be required to produce cost budgets and forecasts for designated areas of Central Costs in line with business objectives. To identify areas of cost savings or profit improvement in areas of responsibility and to implement and manage the process of achieving the savings. You will improve the level of awareness of senior managers in areas of responsibility as to their departmental expenditure. Finally, you will also be responsible for reconciling fully certain designated balance sheet accounts.
This role will suit someone who is studying towards an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA) or is newly qualified. You will be able to work as part of a close knit team and have the ability to solve problems effectively.
