To ensure the provision of developments and improvements in any of the Littlewoods Clearance websites (including intranet) and other information products that us a web-based interface.
Scope of Role:
Assist the E-Commerce Manager and contribute to the development of web applications specified by the Head of IT, E-commerce & Support in the provision of new designs and content for the Littlewoods Clearance websites.
To contribute to the successful implementation of the Company Web Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
• To assist with the implementation of ongoing web-based initiatives & development, including daily maintenance, ensuring consistent style standards are maintained and further enhanced.
• To test technical systems using appropriate procedures to assess website performance.
• To design and develop technical systems that meet user requirements and conform to Company & Shop Direct Group standards.
• To ensure operational and legal compliance at all times.
• To positively contribute to the achievement of Department and Company objectives by working as part of the E-Commerce team and actively helping and supporting colleagues.
• To process information in a prompt and efficient manner in accordance with Company best practice and legislation.
• Actively contribute to Department meetings ensuring decisions and actions are communicated appropriately.
• To provide and promote service to internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• To pass on specialist knowledge through advice to colleagues and customers to support Company objectives and ensure compliance with Shop Direct Group policy and procedures.
• To ensure projects are delivered within specified time frames.

Key Decisions:
A key decision making role with the expectation to exercise independent judgment using knowledge from Company & Shop Direct Group standards, procedures and legal requirements with support from the Head of IT, E-Commerce & Support and the E-Commerce Manager.
Essential Knowledge & Proven Ability:-
Proven experience in providing specialist advice and knowledge in both the creative & technical aspects of website design and content.
Experience in the web design/development field that demonstrates a good understanding of site development.
Ability to perform specialist tasks relating to the technical operations of web applications.
Role Specific Qualifications required:
An appropriate degree level qualification preferably in web design or information communication and technology is desirable.
