My manufacturing client in Cheshire is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer who has a mechanical engineering degree with experience in 3D CAD use (preferablyWildfire 3.0) in a relevant engineering field.
The position and person:
The job demands good communication and administrative skills to provide support to the activities of our multi-disciplinary engineering design team. The successful applicant will be methodical, organised and able to manage several projects at once.
Responsibilities will include developing engineering and design solutions for our current and future products, analysing structures and mechanisms, maintaining technical files, documentation and data systems in line with standards and legislation, preparation of CAD drawings using Wildfire 3.0 and bills of materials, preparing illustrations for use in manuals, arranging prototype parts and materials, preparing and running test programs.
The successful applicant will be degree qualified in mechanical engineering with reasonable work experience in engineering. Any knowledge of pneumatics or hydraulics would be welcomed.
Benefits:-
The basic salary for this role is circa £25,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on your experience and ability. There is a comprehensive package including pension, death in service benefit and 22 + Bank Holidays annual leave per annum.
