My client is a £4m turnover Staffordshire based pump distributor/manufacturer of considerable standing with a 40+ year trading history employing 36. They are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join them in working with AutoCAD.
The position
The role requires either a time served electrical design engineer or one with 16/17th Edition qualifications to join a small team producing designs using AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will be within reasonable travelling distance of Stoke on Trent and will want to join a long-standing, financially stable and successful SME company with a good reputation for customer service and also for looking after their employees, a great deal of whom have been with the firm over 5 years through to 20 years in some cases.
The role reports into the Electrical Project Manager.
The designs will range from changing references on existing drawings to full pump designs for the rainwater, sludge, sewage and drainage sectors for various clients. There will also be some portable pump unit design. The successful candidate will also have Windows literacy, have an eye for detail and accuracy, understand the importance of a control philosophy and be professional at all times.
The benefits
The salary on offer is circa £25,000 per annum, with 25 days paid holiday plus UK public holidays, death in service benefit and contributory pension after qualifying period.
