Test new electrical control & instrumentation designs in Production and carry out any modifications as necessary
Assistance to Production Department on new panel build as necessary
Assistance internally and to other Group companies and Partners - offer advice and recommendations on
electrical/electronic control panel design, cable routing etc.
Work with Firmware developers to ensure successful implementation of new control philosophies
Work with panel manufacturers to ensure new build panels are as per design
When new engines brought into company portfolio, work with others to design power/control systems from engine manufacturer’s data sheets, drawings and company knowledge /practice
Check new designs with relevant departments and ascertain feasibility of design prior to issue of drawings
For existing machines carry out ongoing updates and improvements by means of design changes to existing drawings etc
Assistance to customers - customer meetings giving recommendations on control panel design, specifications for electrical interfaces, cable routing etc.
Work with Firmware developers to ensure successful implementation of new control philosophies
Provide training to members of staff and customers on electrical and electronic aspects of CHP
Take ownership of the Control System Manuals ensuring regular updates, corrections and improvements
Assist on site staff with commissioning process
Carry out snagging of electrical installations and discuss with contractors
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
Proficient in Electrical/ Electronic engineering to minimum HNC level.
Computer literate
Awareness of British Standards and CDM regulations
Understanding of third party controls/systems
Understanding of engineering design and operation
Understanding of company product
Numeracy skills
Problem solving skills

Communication skills
Awareness of H&S legislation including any site specific regulations and company risk assessment procedures
