Our Client a global engineering company are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong leadership and communication skills combined with the ability to resolve problems without supervision.
Ideally you will have an Honors degree (or equivalent) in an Mechanical Engineering discipline.
You must have 5 years experience within a medium/heavy engineering background and experience of rotating machinery.
Duties include:-
Managing and implementing departmental projects to improve efficiencies
Assisting with the management of the drawing office
Providing technical assistance within the Engineering Department in the fulfilment of sales orders
Taking the lead in ensuring company products comply with relevant European Legislation
Providing technical support for all European sales staff (including customer complaints)
Providing technical support and resolutions for Manufacturing(including product deviations)
You will have knowledge of European Legislation(particularly the Machineries and ATEX directives)
You must demonstrate that they have used basic mechanical engineering hand calculations.
(e.g. strength of beams,foundations loads,bearing life,e.t.c)during their industrial experience.
You must have high computer literacy, preferably with some basic programming experience.
A flexible approach to working hours will be required.
