    I have a fantastic opportunity for a Business focused Manager with change experience to work for a major financial organisation. My client is reviewing its key IS Services and needs a Business Manager to come and help leading the supply of services.

    Project Overview:
    To lead the supply of specialist activities, advice and guidance and the provision of key business support services to enable major areas of the business to achieve agreed business requirements, and/or to provide top-level expertise, advice and support in specialist areas to support business operations.

    The role will either lead a team and/or will provide top-level expertise, advice and support

    Desirable Skills/Experience:

    Key Responsibilities:
    Lead a team or function supplying specialist activities, advice and guidance to support the effective operations of the business.
    Supply in-depth expertise to carry out the most complex activities in the specialism
    Lead, in area(s) of expertise, the establishment of a full understanding of both current and future business needs
    Carry out the most complex analyses.
    Lead specialist investigations of high complexity and criticality, including specialist research
    Lead the preparation of plans and budgets for the team
    Plan and lead major change initiatives and business/efficiency improvement activities in assigned areas (and influence change in other areas) to meet current and emerging business needs
    Participate, in areas of expertise, in the formulation of policy and strategy, including organisational and business developments.
    Lead the development of policies and procedures, ensuring the best practices are adopted and implemented, and that these are consistent with overall practices.
    Ensure compliance with corporate, statutory and regulatory requirements, plus other relevant internal/external standards within area(s) of specialism and keep abreast of changes which may impact the business.
    Build and maintain relationships with top-level individuals in external suppliers
    Participate fully in determining resource levels and recruit, lead, develop and motivate high calibre individuals to meet the requirements of the business, ensuring they are aware of and capable of delivering their accountabilities.
    Maintain knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements relevant to the role. Support and promote compliance with those requirements within the role and the business.

    Essential skills knowledge and experience required.
    Able to assess the potential impact of emerging developments in the discipline and how to apply them in the business context
    Able to think broadly across all areas of specialism, not just own
    Sound financial management and commercial skills
    Ability to work with a diverse range of people and cultures
    Able to assess potential impact of emerging developments and technologies and to identify how to apply to products and processes
